    Organizational Structure


    The position reports directly to the VP, Controller.


    To oversee the daily functions of the Accounts Payable team, including but not limited to:


    • Managing Work, Projects, and Policies
    • Supervise AP Staff of 4
    • Coordinates and implements accounting work and projects as assigned.
    • Reconciles AP & Payroll Cash working with Treasury
    • Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
    • Submits reports in a timely manner, ensuring delivery deadlines.
    • Monitors sales taxes, and prepares property taxes, NYC Commercial rent taxes, unclaimed property taxes
    • Oversees Fixed assets and Reporting
    • Demonstrates knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.
    • Motivates and provides a work environment where employees are productive.
    • Prepares weekly payment proposal for review with CFO
    • Prepare and reconcile AP Agings, as needed
    • Approves New Vendors
    • Prepare Monthly and Quarterly Month End Reporting and Reconciliations
    • Issue 1099’s annually
    • Oversees Carta AP invoice workflow i.e. new user set up, terminations, etc.
    • Oversees Avalara maintenance, approval of tax rates


    • At least 8+ years of experience
    • Inventory AP Experience and the ability to communicate professionally
    • Experience with FileBridge/Aspen preferred
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Commitment to improve processes and make more efficient
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
