The IT Business Analyst is responsible for designing process improvement and other initiatives with end-users, defining business requirements, and managing projects to successfully implement system changes. The Business Analyst will act as a liaison between our IT and business teams, ensuring alignment of new IT solutions with our omni-channel initiatives. The Business Analyst will gather and document business requirements to support development and enhancements of business applications.

The IT Business Analyst- Finance reports directly to the CIO




  • Work with Vince’s Finance team to define process improvements, systems scope, requirements, and objectives through research and fact finding combined with an understanding of business needs and existing business systems
  • Analyzing business processes to identify process deficiencies; researching solutions, and collaborating with peers and business partners to remediate deficiencies
  • Participating in conceptual and logical system design
  • Clarifying and validating both functional and non-functional requirements for the IT teams designing, building and testing project deliverables
  • Managing resources to ensure on time, on budget delivery of projects
  • Participating in the identification, prioritization, and resolution of production issues
  • Driving results through effective communication of ideas and solutions, and building productive working relationships with peers and partners
  • Communicating key insights and findings to constituents and IT team members
  • Developing approaches for testing software features prior to release
  • Constantly being on the lookout for ways to improve monitoring, discover issues and deliver better value to the customer
  • Work with business teams to set priorities and expectations for technology enhancements
  • Facilitate workshops for the client and end users to agree on functional and non-functional requirements


  • A degree in IT/ Computer Science
  • Proven experience in collaborating with Finance teams to improve productivity and insight
  • 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing business solutions to enhance system capabilities for critical business areas; systems within the retail industry preferred
  • Experience designing and implementing solutions in Microsoft Dynamics AX
  • Expert understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle, as applied to areas of problem solving, functional analysis/design, requirements elicitation and documentation, estimating, and planning
  • Significant experience in creating requirements specifications, process models and business rules for commercial solutions
  • Demonstrated expertise in organizing and managing technology projects
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of the integration between IT systems and business concepts, processes and activities
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to establish goals, set clear expectations, prioritize activities, and follow through to completion
